Fall Harvest at Every Soul Acres

Come experience the farm that Harvest Memories! Visit the Shenandoah Valley's Newest Corn Maze with over 10 aces of corn offering miles of MazePlay thrill! We love our pumpkins and have them galore! It wouldn't be fall without campfire, food and games so come on out to celebrate fall at the farm away from it all! Open Wed by appointment only. Thursday 3pm-10pm, Friday-Sat. 10am-10pm and Sunday Noon-7pm.

Monacan Living History Exhibit

"Mecoure mechin kihoe" - You are very welcome to be here. For generations uncounted the Natural Bridge has been part of the Monacan Indian culture and history. The exhibit is a partnership between the Monacan Indian Nation, Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund, and Virginia State Parks. Guests can step back over 300 years through time to experience life in a typical Monacan Indian Settlement. Learn about cooking, tool production, pottery, basket weaving, gardening, and more. Daily activities change with the season.

Hands and Harvest Festival

Celebrate the beauty of Autumn at Highland County's annual Hands & Harvest Fall Foliage Festival. Held annually on the second weekend in October, this event offers three days of activity, entertainment, farm tours, and fall fun. Come and observe the mountain forests of Virginia's Western Highlands transformed into a rich palette of russet, gold, and scarlet. Explore local farms, purchase handmade items from crafters and artists, take in a clogging or bluegrass show, browse local shops, and try your feet at the Highland Hills Farm 5K Fun Run & Obstacle Course!

Seasonal foods, including apple dumplings, apple butter, barbecues, Allegheny Mountain Trout, and homemade baked goods will be available throughout the county. Take time to explore the back roads by enjoying one of Highland County's Scenic Driving Tours or Barn Quilt Trails. So much fall fun to be experienced!

Hoppy Harvest Party: Fun for the Whole Family

Celebrate Autumn at Stable Craft Brewing! Join Stable Craft for our 2nd annual Hoppy Harvest Celebration. Adults, apple butter, live music and our 16 craft beers on tap. Children 12 and under are invited to enter our costume contest for a chance to win $50. Children 12 and under can also decorate a pumpkin for our Great Pumpkin Contest for another chance to win $50.

Walk and Talk Fall Series: Peggy-Dyson Cobb - Seed Saving

Our popular “Walk and Talk” series is back with 4 excellent guest speakers/leaders ready to inspire, delight and teach participants from all backgrounds. Call the Boxerwood office (540-463-2697) for more information and to register. Parking is free for members, and $5 for non-members. Although workshops are free, may we suggest a $12/person donation to help support Boxerwood’s education programs.
