Broadway Farmers Market

Wenger Grapes Farms Opens for Harvest

This year harvest begins Labor Day weekend and runs for 2 to 3 weeks. You and your family are invited to visit the vineyards, learn how grapes are grown, and share in the harvest! Pick your own or choose from a selection of already picked grapes. Open from 8 AM until dark, Monday through Saturday, during harvest.

Monacan Living History Exhibit

"Mecoure mechin kihoe" - You are very welcome to be here. For generations uncounted the Natural Bridge has been part of the Monacan Indian culture and history. The exhibit is a partnership between the Monacan Indian Nation, Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund, and Virginia State Parks. Guests can step back over 300 years through time to experience life in a typical Monacan Indian Settlement. Learn about cooking, tool production, pottery, basket weaving, gardening, and more. Daily activities change with the season.

Self-Guided Brochure

Ask the contact rangers at the ticket counter, during normal business hours, for a copy of the Self-Guided Brochure for Cedar Creek Trail. Each numbered trail marker matches a section of the brochure with the corresponding number. Reveal the legend of the "GW" carved into the Natural Bridge, find out what animals call the park home, spot native species, and enjoy a beautiful waterfall and much more along our park's most popular trail. Regular $8 admission fee applies. Available Daily during Visitor Center hours.

Legends of Natural Bridge

Special Event Star Date at the Group Camp Site

Type of Event: Astronomy
Virginia caves are known for their beautiful formations, unique wildlife and as a cool
place to visit in the summer. For many centuries, they were also a source of salt
peter (potassium nitrate) which is a key ingredient in gun powder. Stop by our
park's Salt Peter Cave to discover the fascinating history of this vital gunpowder
ingredient, and the geology that allowed it to form.

Lavender Sip and Paint Party

Tamera Renee, the left handed artist, will take us step by step through the process of painting Lavender flowers on a wine glass. Matters not your level of artistic ability, she will show you how. You will have a finished, beautifully designed and painted wine glass that you will smile at every time you sip. How fun is that!
